Gretchen is a Hip Hop / R&B artist and songwriter originally from Richmond, Virginia. She has been part of the opening acts for many groups, such as The Beach Boys and BB King. In 2019, she graduated from Belmont’s Songwriting and Music Business School and since then, has lived in Nashville, TN pursuing her craft full-time. Gretchen has collaborated with Swagg R’Celious, a Sony Music Publishing-signed producer/writer (H.E.R., Kehlani, Snoh Aalegra, Teyana Taylor, Wale, Alicia Keys, Brandy). She also had the opportunity of interviewing and performing with R&B’s JoJo on MTV’s MTVu college series.
On top of writing for herself, she enjoys writing for others and enjoys the collaboration aspect above all. Gretchen’s works and collaborations have been featured on reputable blogs including Lyrical Lemonade and Early Rising, as well as Spotify-curated playlist “Fresh Finds”. With shout-outs and co signs from Jack Harlow and Russ, along with acknowledgements from her hometown newspaper Commonwealth Times, Gretchen has created a lane of her own in the world of Hip Hop and R&B.
